Ive been in hospital again, Sad but home again nowThumpUp

I'm still very fatigued but it seems the ra is having a big lairy moment.
They've doubled my steroids for now. To 20

Then 15 then back to normal on 10.

I got my follow up appt yesterday..... January 2013!!!

Had to laugh.

I'm so very tired. The bloods are pretty much what they were last flair when they started me off on the enbrel. Having flunked the other meds, have very little in the way of options so holding on on the enbrel for now as I seemed to be coping on it a little more.

Off for another little sleep.

The anemia is down to 8.8

But the crp is around the 170 mark so I guess that's why

Much love to all

I know you understand

hi Jenni,

sorry to hear you're having a rough time.

really doesn't seem right that you don't have an appointment until next January now. it makes me feel "lucky" that i get an appointment every 3 to 4 months, always have since first diagnosed. i went to an NRAS meeting at my local Hospital over a year ago now and they did say how things vary in different parts of the country.

would love to hear that the Enbrel could work some magic on you,

sending my best wishes to you,

Suzanne x

Oh Jenni we thought things were on the up for you,

I've been popping on the facebook page last week and knew that you had been in hospital. Read about what had been happening, sending you a really big ((((((HUG)))))).

Sorry to see that things have taken a turn for the worse yet again, we were all so hopeful for you when you started taking enbrel again and things did seem to get slightly better.

When I read that your follow up appointment was January 2013............I just thought ...WHAT!!!.....had to think for a moment if the date was 1st April. Time to get them Red Boots out Jenni.

It's wonderful to see you posting here, you've been missed, you're back again with friends to support you. You always give such good advice and support no matter how bad things are for you. You are a star!!!!

Even when things are really bad for you, you still have your sense of humour, something that I hope you never lose. I've read many a funny post from you, even when things have really been bad, you've always put a little bit of humour into it to lighten the mood.

Hope things improve for you.

Much Love

Paula xxx

Oh goodness me Jenni, what is this all about appointment next January, surely that can t be right ! you ll have to sort that one out and tell them their computer has surely made a blunder with the date LOL

Following on from Paula's thoughts, its lovely to have you posting on here, we certainly need you in many ways Smile your sense of humor and positivity never ceases to amaze me, if you didn t laugh you' d cry, as they say.

Its good the Enbrel is giving you some help, very much hoping it stays that way.

Love Julia xx

Hi. Yes, I'm gobsmacked too at your appointment date. I agree that they might have got this wrong. With a CRP as high as that you are in need of the consultant appointments. I love your posts....so please keep posting. Good luck with the Enbrel too. love Naomi.

Hi Jenni

Sorry to hear that you have been in hospital again. I hope the enbrel works for you. I'm on it too and it is the only one to give me any benefit.

The hospital appointment sounds too far away, especially since you have been so ill.

Hi Jenni

After years of this infernal disease, like me, it will come as no real surprise that your appointment is a standard 6 month follow up, ie January 2013! It's the way the 'system' works and the resources available and not a reflection on an individual's needs. That's not to say it's right, it clearly isn't, but in the world of rheumatology nothing happens quickly ... ... ever! That said, in my experience and probably yours too Jenni, availability of urgent appointments is pretty good for those who genuinely need them. Resources are badly over stretched and in the current climate it seems they may only get worse. The onus is on us all to use what is available to us very wisely and with respect for the needs of others who may be more in need of urgent care.

I'll get off the high horse now before I fall off!! LOL
